Learn, Grow & Give Back
Big Tent Online Community
Big Tent offers members the chance to post photos and profiles, create an online journal, create a personal calendar, participate in discussion forums and more!
Our club library has resources on topics ranging from pregnancy to all aspects of childhood. You can view a printable list of our collection here. Members can contact our librarian to check out materials.
Meetings are held on the third Monday of each meeting at 7:15 p.m. A Board meeting is held prior to the beginning of each meeting. Meeting topics vary and include guest speakers as well as round table discussions led by members. Visit the Meetings page for details about upcoming meetings.
Mentoring ~ Be a Big Sister
Mentoring is one of the most fundamental lifelines of our club and even you can take advantage of it. By becoming a mentor, you will be promoting relationships with new and pregnant moms by offering advice, answering questions, calming fears, encouraging hopes and dreams, and by most of all, just listening. If you are interested in representing the club and becoming a mentor or would like to receive a mentor, please contact our Mentoring/Big Sister Coordinator.
Make New Friends
Mom's Morning Coffee
Meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month at the following locations:
- Panera Bread the Avenues of East Cobb (Roswell Rd/Hwy 120, east of Johnson Ferry Rd)
- Einstein Bagels at corner of Shallowford and Sandy Plains
- Starbucks at Town Center Mall on Barrett Parkway (not inside the mall)
New members get together several times during the year to get to know one another as well as the board and committee members. Events will be posted in the newsletter and on Big Tent.
Preemie Clothing Closet Our club maintains a clothing closet with preemie and newborn clothing that have been donated by members. These items are for new moms to borrow while their children are little, so they won't have to spend a lot of money on clothes that babies outgrow quickly. They are mostly sleepers and onesies. Some of them look brand new. If you are a member in need of preemie clothes, please email our coordinator.
We have a Fall/Winter sale and a Spring/Summer sale each year. For more details about our upcoming sale, please visit the consignment sale page.
